Stampede Style

Quite some time ago a friend mentioned to me that she had access to some incredible art. At the time I didn’t really understand where this would lead, but a few weeks ago her vision became reality with the online launch of Stampede Style. I now totally understand her excitement and enthusiasm.

Stampede Style was literally created over coffees and chocolate croissants by two good friends with a shared passion, Michelle and Elisha. Their idea is simple, a beautifully executed online store with a clear focus on exceptional fine art prints. The inspiration is statement pieces that transform a space and demand your attention, hence the name Stampede Style.

There are a number of ranges and all are available for worldwide shipping. These include “limited edition” collectables, nursery prints, and an incredible collection of African animal art printed on the highest quality 310gsm archival paper. Each original artwork is painstakingly hand drawn using a combination of graphite pencil and watercolour wash, then made into a Fine Art Giclée Print using archival pigment inks. The hardest thing is choosing a favourite!

The featured artist on Stampede Style is Newcastle based Dr. Andrew Howells. His qualifications and experience are extensive and his work is beyond incredible. Andrew’s hand drawn illustrations are anatomically perfect and truly endearing. It is Andrew’s skill of observation and his ability to replicate the finest of detail whilst captivating a mood and emotion that makes his work so special.

Aside from Stampede Style he has taken his skill in animation, graphic design, and fine art to the classroom and works as a Lecturer in Natural History Illustration at the University of Newcastle. With a recent exhibition of natural wonders at the Newcastle Museum. Andrew’s work has been featured in many wildlife and lifestyle publications including Australian Geographic and Real Living magazine.
